Miss Katie

Miss Katie is starting her first year teaching kindergarten at Bridges to Learning. Katie graduated from the University of Delaware with a Bachelor of Science in Education in 2006. After graduation, Katie, worked as a Group Leader at KinderKids in Randolph for a year and a half. In March 2008, she began working at the Katharine D. Malone School in Rockaway and held the following positions, third grade teacher, first grade reading teacher, and a one-on-one aide to a first grade student. Katie has always known that she wanted to be a teacher—in fact, she comes from a family of many teachers. Her mother and aunt were both science teachers, her older sister is a 5th grade teacher, and her twin sister teaches 7th grade social studies. Guess you could say Katie was born to be a teacher! Katie enjoys reading, traveling, cooking, painting, and spending time with friends and family. Katie is looking forward to an exciting and rewarding school year at Bridges to Learning.
